A course in clinical supervision through a relational and creative lens
The course is aimed at experienced counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to become clinical supervisors working with individuals and groups. The group will be a key learning resource to facilitate a developing understanding of the purpose and process of supervision, and how it differs at different stages of practice.
Matrix College teaches a relational development integrative model of Psychotherapeutic Counselling and this will inform and frame our relational approach.
Students will be encouraged to develop their own creative and relational approach to supervision, grounded in theory, that aligns with their own approach to clinical work. There will be an emphasis on creative ways of supervising, observed skills practice and using the group as a resource.

60 hours of clinical practice with two supervisees

Group size: 8-12 participants
Attendance requirements: 80%
Entry requirements: 3 years post qualification

The tutors are all experienced supervisors and teach at Matrix College, they have experience in integration and humanistic approaches including Gestalt and TA.
The course is pending approval for the entry onto the UKCP directory of supervisors (for those eligible) and meets the requirements for BACP supervision courses.
